She kept her eyes on the jump between the horses ears as it approached, keeping light contact with the reins. Once again they flew over and landed smoothly, but when Cruize coughed, she decided to take him around once more before trying the last jump. Lily let him relax just a bit at the canter as she took him for a lap around the arena, making sure he was okay. She didn't want something to happen on this jump. It was the biggest of them, and the hardest. It would really hurt falling off on that one.

Cruize turned away from the final jump as Lily asked for a lap, he shook his head but stayed focused on the task, on a usual day, Cruize would work until he dropped, quite literally. with a snort Cruize continued around until he'd finished the lap then turned to the jump looking at it carefully, he sped up a little to get a extra boost and shortened his strides before going over and coughing again after landing.
Dustin smiled as he watched Cruize and Lily go around the small course, Lily seemed to like the thoroughbred, he had faults, but what horse didn't? Dustin had often used Cruize to teach beginners how to jump, he was good for it, he knew what to do and rarely refused a smaller jump.

Lily smiled as they landed safely once again. The horse could really jump. Lily slowed him to a trot as they circled around, then walked him the last twenty feet to Dustin. She gave him a pat as they stopped near the gate. "He was great! What a good boy, Cruize!" Lily smiled again as she dismounted and gave the horse another scratch behind the ears. She took her helmet off and walked over to Dustin, brushing against him as she gave him a kiss.

Cruize snorted as he eased back into a trot, not for a second slacking off. He tossed his head after stopping at the gate, the number one rule was when he was saddled 200% effort goes into pleasing the rider, no matter what the asked. While Lily went over to Dustin Cruize stood watching all the movement nearby, his ears pricked and neck arched, he looked rather nice standing there.
Dustin smiled as he watched Lily, he jumped off the fence and chuckled. glad you like him, should try him with Dressage and cross country sometime. Dustin wrapped his arms around Lily as he kissed her, he kept one arm around her as he leaned against the gate. lets hose him down and get rid of that sweat.

Lily leaned into him a little more as he returned the kiss, then turned to glance at Cruize. "I agree. And an extra treat for him today. You've got one hellava horse there, Dustin." She smiled at the stallion as he stood watching them. Maybe she would try dressage and cross country with him. He'd make a good eventer.

Dustin nodded and sighed happily and walked closer to Cruize, he grabbed the reigns, walking him around for a few minutes before opening the gate and jumping into the saddle. thanks, if only he'd stay in good condition and not go Lame like he does. Dustin looked at Lily with a smile and rubbed Cruize's rump before outstretching his hand to her. c'mon, on ya get.. He let go of the reigns to face lily more. i'll get him looking alot better before advertising him for lease though, he needs a bit of work.
Cruize stood quickly as Dustin Sat on him, he chewed the bit for a few seconds then turned to look at Lily.

Lily reluctantly slid out of his hold as he walked Cruize around, cooling him out and stretching his legs. She was happy when she was with him. She grinned as the horse looked at her with Dustin on his back, as if he was waiting for her to get in the saddle so they could all get going. Maybe he was looking forward to his bath, too. She reached out and grabbed Dustin's hand, borrowing the stirrup as she swung her right leg over the horse's rump to sit behind her man. "I think he's fine the way he is, just needs a little tune-up."
