Well, after much ado, I have finaly gotton anouther horse. Yes I know, the day I joined this site for the very first time, I had just bought a horse that very day and had just gotton back from purchessing her. I Remember that much. Then came my mother, and she decided she didn't want me to have a horse, so my beloved baby girl and all my shows were gone, scratched, vanished.
And then, just last week, my dad and I were going to look at horses. I am an arab person myself, and I have always had a secret disgust for appys. My dad set up for me to look at a nine year old appy mare. I didn't know she was an appy until I saw her, and I freaked. I have been kicked in the head, thrown off, and trampled by numerous appys, and never wanted one of the vile horses. The only horse I didn't like. So I approached her, or actually she approached me, and was very sweet. I starting petting her and stuff. Then next thing I know, She was saddled up and I was being told to ride her. Well, I gave it a try, A few walking laps around the pasture led to a few trotting, and then I was cantering around the pasture, and before I knew it, I was in love.
So yes, my hatred for Appaloosa horses has been lifted, I have a new horse from a rescue stable. Her name is Shasta, and I will show pics after the weekend when we go to pick her up. I absolutley love her, and she is young enough to work with still. SHe was rescued from the meat buyers at an auction, and nobody wanted her, because she is somewhat lazy. But not me, I fell in love with the thing I swore I would never love...
