Aria wandered through the glades, enjoying the warm sun of autumn. The temperature was just right. The heat of summer was fading, but the chill of winter had not yet begun to creep in. Optics viewed the changing leaves, the bright greens fading to shades of yellows and oranges and reds. She loved this season. It was always so colorful and beautiful.

When Valentino had first come to call the Glades home it had been early in the summertime. Now, with the shades of the earth changing from the lush greens to the vibrant oranges, yellows, red and browns, it was the start of autumn. A full season had been spent in these lands. Two others had come to call this place home in that time but, Valentino had to admit, he had hardly seen them. The stallion wasn't the most social being in the first place but he figured that seeing he was their lead, their protector of sorts, it would be bad form to ignore them.
That was why Valentino found himself wandering along, trying to track down his two mares. He had no clue as to where Ravenna, who looked to similar that she may as well be his twin, was. Aria, however, was close. Indeed, after less than twenty or so minutes of tracking her, he had found himself with the grey mare. Yet, when he was finally within earshot, he found he had nothing to say.
"Er..hi," he began lamely. He was starting to lose that formal speech he had around other horses. It was unnecessary, confusing almost.
"Look. I'm sorry I've basically ignored you," the stallion blurted out. "I'm not really that good at talking or socialising or anything. So...yeah," he said, continuing the rushed speech. "Maybe we should like...start over and pretend I haven't avoided you since you came here?" he finished. Valentino shuffled about nervously, not realising how feeble he looked.

Aria was taking in the sights of her new home when that stallion, Valentino, walked up to her. She turned toward him and listened to what he had to say, and couldn't hold in her laughter. "Don't worry about it. It's not like I can't take care of myself. I don't need someone there with me all the time, though I will admit it is nice to have company. So just forget about it, you've probably had other things on your mind, and I've been enjoying wandering around my new home. It's been a while since I've had one." She had a pleasant smile on her face, and a matching one in her eyes. "To tell the truth, I think I was a little straight-forward when we met, so I apologize, as well. I'm not really a snob or anything, I've just been on my own for too long."ooc: sry, cruddy post

As Valentino had bade her goodbye, leaving her to her own devices, Ravenna had wandered cautiously about, taking in everything that was her new home. Everything was of the utmost interest and importance to her. The smallest of things did not escape her keen observation, even down to the small pebbles and inconsequential grasshoppers at her feet. She took it all in with glee, so very pleased that her travels had finally come to an end.
She was quite alone for a good amount of time, until she nearly stumbled into Valentino and a pretty grey. This must be the mare called Aria, thought she.
Ravenna hesitated. She certainly did not want to intrude, but was eager to meet this other member of her new herd. She stood on the fringes, uncertain as to whether she should make herself known, or give the two horses their privacy and carry on with her exploration of the land.
