As soon as he took one step back, Lily let off the pressure and gave him a pat. "Good boy, that's it. Okay, let's try something else." She squeezed her legs and clucked to him once, the signal she wanted to have him learn to speed up from a halt to a walk and a walk to a trot. Right now she'd start with a walk, then she'd see about a trot.

Deductive happily stopped walking back once he received the pat from Lily, he'd remember what was to be done when she pulled and gave a slight kick. Flicking his ears around Deductive felt Lily squeeze and moved forward into a smooth walk, he'd figured that one out rather quickly and he'd almost forgotton about the weight on his back.

"Thatta boy. Good job." She was making sure she praised him when he did anything right. It was the best way for him to learn. Lily pulled the right rein and applied pressure with her outside leg, moving her inside leg back a bit so he would bend around her leg. She wasn't sure if he'd pick it up, it was a bit of an advanced move, but she was certain he'd understand the rein.

Deductive chewed the bit while walking forward, he had the foam dripping from his mouth. with a little pigroot, he sidestepped a few time before turning around.

Well, it didn't turn out as well as she would have liked. "Okay, boy, let's try that again." She let him walk a few steps, then pulled the rein again, without giving him the other signals. First he had to learn the rein, then she could teach him the more advanced signals and refine his movements.

Deductive walked forward again until he felt the tug at his mouth, He turned his head around then after a few seconds turned his body with it, Stumbling rover his own feet. Deductive arched his neck and sped up his walk, flicking one ear back to Lily, stretching his strides so he can go faster.

"This is going to take longer than I thought." she mumbled to herself. She tugged on the reins a little bit as he sped up. "Uh-uh, you're going to get this right first. I'm not having you run around randomly. If I can't control you, you're walking." Again, she pulled on the rein, turning slightly in her saddle and looking where she wanted him to go. It's natural for the body to follow, which gives the horse clearer signals. Hopefully he would eventually pick it up.

Deductive threw up his head and stopped, before moving forward again, he turned the way Lily asked and snorted, still walking, Deductive moved around in a tight circle with his neck arched.

"Well, you're getting better. I suppose I could let you trot just a little." She shortened up the reins a bit and gave him a nudge, clucking her tongue as she did so. She was sure it would be a smooth ride. His stride from the ground looked beautiful.

Deductive threw up his head and broke into a trot, his strides where as smooth as they'd looked on the ground, it would be easy to sit too. Deductive looked around, holding his tail Like an Arab would. Deductive snorted and started cantering, his muscles rippling under his coat.

"Whoa, easy there. I said trot, not canter." Then she thought about it a second. Sure, it was foolish and stupid, but she wanted to see what he felt like over a jump. Giving him the signal to canter again, she pointed him at the low x, collecting the reins and hoping she could control him well enough.

Deductive Happily cantered around the arena, he turned toward the X when asked and eyed the jump. Pinning his ears back like he did before throwing a tantrum the other day, Deductive threw up his head and tensed his muscles. As he neared the Jump, Deductive gathered himself and popped over, throwing in a buck afterwards.

Lily pushed him forward as he tensed, trying to keep him from balking. She leaned forward slightly as he popped over the jump, nearly losing her seat when he bucked. She scolded him and slapped his neck. "Hey, that wasn't nice. No more of that." But she was still curious. This was what she loved. Jumping. She lived for it. Lily eyed the oxer, guiding the horse toward it, doing her best to keep him at a steady, collected canter.

Deductive threw up his head as Lily slapped his neck, He snorted and turned to the next jump. With another snort Deductive, started speeding up, getting slightly hot, he eyed the jump with his ears pricked forward and flew over it, cantering and throwing his head around after.

Lily sailed over the jump with him. It was like flying, and she loved every second of it. As the landed, she pulled on the reins and sat low in the seat, trying to slow him down. Ya, that was stupid. She never should have let him go at those jumps without proper training first. "Whoa." Well, at least she knew he could and would do it.
