Personality:
Picture is of a friend of my younger sister's, and she gave me permission to use it.
Elise is tough and spunky, but has a quiet elegance about her and a very kind heart. Orphaned at the age of 7, she was then raised by an elderly great-aunt, her only living relative, as her older brother and 2 younger sister also perished in the wreck that took the lives of her parents. The great-aunt had a very black heart and a heavy hand. Elise ran away numerous times, only to be escorted back to her aunt by the police.Height: 5'4"
Elise had been permitted by her great-aunt to start babysitting to earn some money when she was 13. The great-aunt demanded Elise turn all of her earnings over to her. What the great-aunt didn't know is that Elise kept a very small portion from each babysitting job, hidden in the home of one of her very few friends (the great-aunt did not permit Elise any social interaction, and so the only friends she had were at school - the only place she was out from under her great-aunt's thumb, to some extent). Just recently, Elise felt she finally had enough to run away from her aunt's oppressive home for the final time. She took her money, gave a tearful goodbye to the friend that had been keeping that money safe the last 3 years in order to aid Elise's escape, and hopped on a bus. To where, she didn't care, as long as she could get away and not be found.
The daughter of a renowned Arabian breeder (upon Elise's parents death, the great-aunt promptly sold off the stables and all of the horses, to use the money for her own pleasures), Elise cultivated a love of horses from an early age. Having been deprived of equine companionship during the 9 years she was her great-aunt's prisoner, she was eager to pursue her dreams once again. Though a myriad of buses, rides from friendly (and some not-so-friendly that Elise had to fight like a wildcat to escape) motorists, she finally ended up here, where it appeared that horses abounded.
