The last leaves were falling from the trees as Aria wandered through her terra. More equines had joined in residence, but she still felt sadly alone. She needed a friend, a lover perhaps, if she was lucky enough. Her thoughts wandered on the subject for a few minutes before she pushed them away. She had no time for a mate right now, not that there was one to be had. No, there were other things that needed tending, such as her herds and the possible quarrels that may arrise. Such thoughts were befitting a queen, though she had only been one for a short time.

Fermino Courage trotted around with his nose down, he was healing from his most recent fight with a smallish stallion, he was lucky enough to win, but only by luck. With a loud whinnie Fermino Courage started cantering, he couldn't find any sweet tasting grass, that would be the weathers fault, Throwing a few bucks Fermino Courage stopped dead in his tracks and prcked his ears toward a small sound.

There were few sounds in the forest that day, most of the birds having flown south for the winter, but Aria's ears pricked and she came to attention at the sound of another horse. She was not sure who it was, and therefore decided to remain silent for the moment. Surely there were no intruders here, but she thought it best not to take any chances. She was sure she would find out soon enough who the culprit was.

Bogle wandered around aimlessly, picking his way across the land, walking heavily. Occasionally he ducked his head to pull listlessly at the dry, tasteless grass. He had been walking like this for days now, often catching a scent of horses but never seeing them. It was amazing that no more than a month ago, he had been galloping across the hills at the crack of dawn, so pleased with life. Now, however, the cool, brisk, autumn air was slowly being replaced with the nippy winter air. Green grass had turned brown, the skies had turned gray. Bogle knew what was coming: the season of snow. It was his first winter since his freedom. He hadn't even been on his own for a full year, and now he wondered if he would make it through the winter. A light breeze made its way past Bogle's nostrils and he recognized that familiar smell of horses. This time, he didn't even bother to look up. He sighed and hung his head, wallowing in self-pity.

Fermino Courage snorted with impatience, he'd heard a horse now it was quiet, He let out a loud whinny and started trotting around with his neck arched and tail high. Fermino Courage sniffed the ground and snorted again, he pawed at the ground and reared, whinnying again.

Nostrils flared as the mare took in the scents around her. There were now two horses, both stallions. One seemed familiar, but the other she had never met before, of that she was certain. Better she greet him now on her own terms. Picking up a cautious two-beat, she carried herself in the direction of the stallions, first more toward the familiar one. After a moment she came upon a familiar frame. What was his name? Fermino Courage, that was it. With a nicker of greeting, she let herself relax a little. "Hello, Fermino Courage. Up to more, interesting, antics I see?" There was a smile both on her face and in her voice as she spoke. He was definitely an interesting one, but she rather liked him. ooc: is there a nickname for fermino courage or no? it's such a long name, rofl...and sphi, i didn't acknowledge your character at the moment, but I will in the next post if you'd like to bring him closer to the pair

Bogle caught a glimpse of another stallion out of the corner of his eye and forced himself to lift his head and look. It was the first horse he had seen in weeks. He looked on as a mare joined him and greeted him. Part of Bogle wanted to run, to get away from these other horses. It would be too much like going back, too much like his herd. However, a sharp pain in his left foreleg reminded him he wasn't going anywhere fast. He lifted his left front hoof as he often did when not walking, taking his weight off it. He had suffered a bad scrape from a tumble he took down a steep rocky descent a few days ago. He longed for the comfort of his mother and the other mares in the herd. They would have taken pity on him and kept him safe through the nights. Now, he knew nobody would ever feel sorry for him. He had learned that lesson early from his father. His father had always told him that when he was older, he'd get not pity or comfort. Bogle had believed him, right up until this very day.
To move towards the other two horses, on the other hand, was to commit. Bogle knew he shouldn't get close to other horses, not after what he had done to his herd. Trying to relate to them would only end in disaster. A part of him wanted somebody to trust, but he knew there was no way he would ever be trusted himself. They didn't know of his past, and it was best that way. Committing to interaction with other horses would only end putting everyone in danger. I'm just a screw-up, Bogle told himself. I don't need to get into this again. I don't need to go through this pain again. And yet he stood rooted to the ground, frozen, staring at the two equines nearby.

OOC: Mustang - He will come over in the next post! As demonstrated above, Bogle has not seen horses in a while and can't decide whether to seek out help/shelter or to make a run for it. He'll make up his mind, though. If you want to find out about his past you can look at his character form. I didn't want to make it too obvious in only his 2nd post, but if you are confused you might want to have a look. xD

Aqua Marine
Nostrils flaring, orbs scanning, ears flicking with every movement. Aqua could smell, and hear the other equines. But she had not yet layed eyes on them. As she came out from the trees, she noticed two equines. A femme, and a brute. She wasnt sure if they were mates or not. Or if this was there terra.
She slowed from a smooth 3-beat to a flowing, extended trot. Her bodice seemed to shimmer in the suns rays. Muscles showing with every step. Her tassles seemed to dance through the air. Banner flowing out behind her. As she reached the pair, she slowed once more int a walk. Extending one delicate piller forward, she tucked her pear shaped head between her daggers. Her nostrils blowing up little clouds of dirt, lips brushing the ground. She rose from her bow, and flicked her orbs from equine to equine. Making contact with each for a few seconds before speaking. My name is Aqua Marine, Her vocals rang sweet, and effortless. She flicked her long forlock onto the side of her face, and waited reply.
OCC. Sorry, no muse what so ever. Pretty un creative post.

Optics turned to the fae that approached them, noting the respectful bow she bestowed upon them. Aqua Marine, a beautiful name. Aria committed it to memory before dipping her own dial slightly in greeting. "Welcome to Billow Glades, Aqua Marine. I am Aria, lead of these lands. Pray tell what has brought you here this fine day."

Homeless-ness Aqua flipped her tassels to the other side of her delicate face. She closed the lids to her orbs as she did. Photos of her life before Fantasy Bridge flashed. Her life was flashing before her eyes, but for a good reason. Maybe this was a sign, a sign that she would finally have a place to call home.
I ask, if you have room in your herd, for a lone femme. Her vocals rung sweet, and polite. They seemed to hang in the air, Aria's reply seemed to take forever. She knew it had only been 2 seconds at least, but after such a long wait for 4 years, she wasn't sure how much longer she could wait. She tried her best to look patient, even though she wasn't at all.
The cool, crisp air blew her banner from side to side. It was getting colder by the day. Aqua could feel her coat thicken. Her bodice was furry, and rough. Yet neat, and sleek. She waited, ears flicking to the noise of something in the bushes. It wasn't making much noise, so she assumed it was a small bird. Although, she thought she had caught the scent of another brute. 'I must be loosing it' She tough to herself as she awaited the reply of the queen.

Courage tossed his head as he heard the familiar sound of hoofbeats, he paused and turned his head in the direction of the sound. With another Toss of his head, Courage recognised the Queen of the lands coming towards him, respectfully, He lowered his head, into a bow, keeping it lowered for a few minutes. ya know, keeping myself entertained. As he Finished his sentance, courage saw a mare approach and bow, Snorting, he pawed the ground again and pricked his ears.

Bogle finally made up his mind. He lifted his head sightly and gingerly made his way toward the three horses. He noticed one of the two mares bow, delicately extending a forehoof and lowering her head. He decided he should do the same... he drew up close to the three horses and snorted softly to announce his arrival. He cast his eyes downward, not wanting to see in their eyes what they thought of his sudden appearance. Bow, Bogle thought gruffly. He reached forward with his left foreleg and went down on his right knee. His movements where jerky and awkward, but he got the job done, ducking his head between his legs. Then he stood—or at least tried to. He pushed himself up, and then found his weak leg buckling. He stumbled, then caught himself, and found himself with his legs splayed out, looking like a newborn colt. He coughed, clearing his throat. Then he stammered abruptly, "They—they call me Bogle."

Auds pricked as she listened to the fem's vocals. Just as she'd thought, another horse looking for a home. Her herd seemed to be growing at a good pace. A gentle smile graced her features as she looked upon the fae. "You are more than welcome to stay as long as you would like, Aqua Marine. Consider Billow Glades your home." Dial turned as Aria saw yet another horse coming out of the corner of her eye. She watched his awkward movements, taking a step forward as he faltered. "Welcome to Billow Glades, Bogle. I am Aria, lead equine of this terra. Tell me, are you alright?" There was a genuine look of concern in her eyes as she looked at him.

Aqua dipped her head slightly in thanks. She turned her orbs over to Bogle. She studied him slowly, nostrilsflaring slightly, taking in his sweet scent.
Shifting her weight from one side to the other, she awaited bogles reply. He did look slighlty adgitated, and worried. She feared something was lurking in the distance, perhaps Bogle had been sent to warn them. She tried to keep her cool, hoping nobody else had sensed her worry.

Bogle's eyes flicked from one horse to another, ending on the mare who spoke to him first. She sounded calm, warm, and sincere. When she asked if he was alright, he lifted his left front hoof and winced. "I'll be okay," he said, keeping the pain from showing in his voice. "Thank you." He took in the scene around him. Billow Glades, he thought. He turned his attention back to the mare who stood before him, noticing her look of concern. Perhaps he should say more... he held back, though. A memory flashed before his eyes: His mother used to have that same look on her face when he tried to convince her he was okay. It had seemed to be his mother's permanent expression, and now he saw that same look upon Aria's face. "I—" he began, choosing his words carefully. "I am alone, and I am looking for shelter. Is this your band?" He looked at the other two horses, a mare and a stallion. He met the mare's eyes for a brief second, then looked down. He would not meet the stallion's eyes—the last thing he wanted was to come off as a threat, if this stallion was indeed Aria's mate.
