We're no strangers to love, You know the rules and so do I, A full commitments what I'm thinking of, You wouldn't get this from any other guy. James sat on the couch at home, wondering what to do. Looking around, he spotted a couple of things - the tiny spiderweb in the top right corner of the room, which caused him to furrow his brow. How had that gotten there? He'd only cleaned the other day.. He also saw another oil stain on his pants, just beside his knee on the inner-thigh part of the jeans. These were his good pants, too. Unfortunately, James had a penchant for doing things that wrecked his good clothes. Like going motorbike riding in them with one of his sisters, and falling off in a prickle patch and ruining his helmet visor, brand new jeans and his knees for a few weeks till they healed. Fingering his pockets, he debated what to do. I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling - gotta make you understand. Staring at his watch, James still didn't know what to do. So this is what extreme boredom felt like? It wasn't pleasant. He sighed and hummed a few bars of a song he made up in his head. It was unusually warm for what was almost winter. He snorted as the words 'Global Warming' did a round of his brain. Go figure... And the world was only going to continue to ruin itself... Well, no. Humanity was only going to continue to ruin the world. Looking outside the window, past the dingy curtains that he so totally needed to replace but hadn't gotten around to replacing yet (where exactly do you curtain shop, anyway?) and spotted his bike in the driveway. Never gonna give you up, Never gonna let you down, Never gonna run around and desert you. Never gonna make you cry, Never gonna say goodbye, Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you. Sauntering outside, James searched for the hose, a bucket and a gentle, big sponge. Filling the bucket with water from the hose and adding special soap into it, he squeezed the sponge and shoved it into the bucket, letting it absorb a decent amount of water and soap. Staring down at his good shirt, he finally realised that, well, if he did a somewhat dirty job in good clothing, he may ruin them. Taking off his shirt, he put it on the windowsill. We've know each other for so long, Your hearts been aching, But you're too shy to say it, Inside we both know what's been going on, We know the game and we're gonna play it. Reaching into the bucket to grab the sponge, he stretched. For some reason, washing cars/bikes was always fun to him. Pulling it out of the bucket, he quickly slapped it on the bike, working up a lather on the fairings. It took a while for James to satisfy his own happiness when cleaning the bike; there was, of course, bug spattering on the front of the bike. He carefully removed the grime from the front of the bike. And if you ask me how I'm feeling, Don't tell me you're too blind to see. After removing the grime, James turned around to empty the bucket into a nearby patch of grass.. It wouldn't do the grass much good if he did it often, but luckily his bike stayed mostly clean, so he didn't have to wash it very often. Sweat glistening on his back, he grabbed the hose and turned it on. Never gonna give you up, Never gonna let you down, Never gonna run around and desert you. Never gonna make you cry, Never gonna say goodbye, Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you. Yeah. You just got rickrolled? =P

Keely paced backwards and forwards in her living room that morning, debating whether she should tell James what had happened the previous night with Austin. She was still completely shell-shocked about what had transpired, and still had no idea what to think about it all. Biting her lip, she knew she wouldn't be able to not tell James, she'd feel even more terrible than she already did. At that thought, she retrieved her car keys from the hook they sat on in the kitchen and walked out to her car, making sure she locked the door behind her. Starting the car, the Paramore cd Keely had been playing started up again, the sounds of We Are Broken blaring from the car speakers. Grimacing, she thought just how fitting the song was under the current circumstances, but pushed the thought away after a few moments, buckling herself up then backing out of her driveway. She was soon well on her way to James' house, hoping that he was actually at home, she didn't want to have to wait any longer to tell him, she'd rather say something now rather than later. Soon Keely was pulling up outside his house. Killing the engine, she got out of the car, a sudden overwhelming sense of panic hitting her like a brick wall. She seriously felt like she was going to be sick she was so worried about James' reaction. She saw him cleaning his bike in the yard, but the fact that he was in fact home did nothing to relieve her panic, instead it heightened it. Keely walked slowly towards him, she felt so terrible knowing she was going to tell him something that was extremely likely to hurt him, a lot. She didn't even let him get a greeting in, eveything just came tumbling out of her mouth, telling him everything that had happened the day before. The few minutes it took to tell James everything felt like an eternity, she never once drew her eyes away from him, and by the end of her speech she was breathless and crying, the tears streaming down her face. "I swear, I never meant for any of this to happen.." she said, voice shaking as it had been the whole time she had been talking to him. She felt absolutely horrible, and was terrified about how James was going to react, she really wouldn't blame him if her told her he didn't want to see her again. So that's where she was left, standing in the middle of his driveway, bawling her eyes out while she waited for him to react.

Humming happily to himself, James hosed the bike down. Ahh, he loved the glistening black sheen that it took up after he'd washed it. Smiling, he was about to turn the hose off and go looking for his chamois when a car pulled up. It was Keely!
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. He'd been so bored earlier, and was about to be bored again after finishing cleaning his bike, so he was glad for a distraction - and such a beautiful one, at that. He was about to open his mouth and greet her when a torrent of words rushed out of her mouth. He stood there, unmoving for a minute or so as he decompiled it all in his brain.
She never meant it to happen? What? Never meant what to happen? he thought back to what she'd said before and his hands tensed into fists. Austin KISSED her? he let out what could almost be described as a growl at the thought, but noticed his girlfriend in front of him, her faced saturated with tears - and she looked incredibly pale. Sickly pale, in fact.
Grabbing her arms, he pulled her gently against him, cupping the back of her head, leaning it into his chest/shoulder as an arm stole around her waist. "Hey hey hey.. Shhh, calm down Keels.. " he said, adopting a sort of rocking motion.

Keely let James pull her into a hug, resting her head against him and sliding her own arms loosely around him. She still felt terrible about it all, but a huge sense of relief swept over her now that she knew he wasn't mad at her. It took her a few minutes to stop crying, though when she had the occassional tear would still come sliding down her cheek. "James, I'm really really sorry..." she said after a while, voice somewhat muffled as she tried to hold back a fresh wave of tears.

"Oh sweetheart..." he said, letting go of her slightly - just enough so he could look into her face when he tipped it up, using a crooked finger under her chin gently. Looking into her glistening grey-green eyes, he smiled softly as his body shivered in pleasure of just having her close to him.
"Look, I know it's not your fault. There's no need to be sorry - but I can't believe he put this stress on you.." he tensed in anger again, wondering what kind of moron would place such a stress on a pregnant woman.

Keely managed to stop crying, she probably didn't have enough tears left to continue anyways. "I don't think he really thought about it before it happened," Keely replied heavily, letting out a inaudible sigh. She did look a mess, having only got at least an hour's worth of troubled sleep the night before, she had dark rings under her eyes, which were also red-rimmed from crying. She was pale as well, from crying and lack of sleep, eating this morning hadn't been in the books for her either, she'd just felt sick. And being pregnant just doubled all of it.

Smiling softly, he ducked down and pressed his lips gently to hers. The temptation to hold the kiss and let it grow into something more was, of course, there, hanging around in his stomach area. But he let it pass, and stood straight again, smiling down at her. "You look tired, babe. You need to sleep... And I was just about to have some lunch. Would you like some?" he asked, brushing a piece of hair from her fringe off her beautiful face.

"Food and sleep sounds so good right now," Keely replied, smiling tiredly back at him, his kiss managing to make what happened the night before seem like it had been an eternity ago. She realised then just how hungry she was, and tired too, suprised she hadn't collapsed already from both of them combined along with her pregnancy. Actually, she didn't know how she had managed to make it over here without falling asleep while driving.

James smiled and grabbed her hand, gently pulling her inside. He stopped on the veranda and looked at his bike, frowning. He hadn't had a chance to finish it properly, and it would have streak marks on it until he had another chance to clean it.. Shrugging off this fact, he went into the kitchen and pulled out a chair for Keely to sit on, so she could chat to him whilst he cooked their lunch.

Keely followed James willingly inside, fingers curled through his when he took a grip on her hand. Once inside, she sat on the chair he pulled out for her, giving him another soft smile. Sitting down felt really good, she didn't think she would've lasted standing up for much longer. She ran her fingers over her cheeks, removing every last trace of the tears that had been there only minutes before. Resting one elbow on the table, she leant her head on her hand, watching James begin to cook, it was taking her a fair bit of effort to even keep her eyes open.

James hummed to himself a song he was working on. He cooked two omelets in a pan, cursing occasionally as fat hit his bare flesh. Keely was oddly quiet whilst he did this, so he had time to think.. He had wanted to wait a while, make sure they knew each other well enough before asking her a question - a very important question. He fumbled with wordings in his head as he thought it through; he already had part two.. Somewhere in his bedside table draw. Peridot; a pale green colour that was similar to her eyes.

Keely dozed lightly while she was sitting there, she was calm now, thinking a whole lot clearer than she had been since last night. Suddenly her eyes flew wide open and her arms were sitting around her stomach, letting out a soft groan of pain as she felt all the muscles around that area contract painfully. It didn't last for very long, but it was enough to leave her sitting there, pale and terrified. "James..." she said, voice soft as she spoke, still hunched over her belly.

"Keels?" he asked in reply, continuing on cooking the omelets - they were almost done, so he put some things in the fridge and turned the oven off. I mean, if he knew what was going on behind him then he'd probably pay more attention. But he didn't, so that's his defense.

"The baby's coming..." she said, the tone of her voice raising now. She suddenly felt panicky, she hadn't expected it to happen until a few weeks, and right now of all time. All her tiredness drained away, and she sat there, still wide-eyed, not daring to move.

"WHAT?" James half-shouted in a shocked reply; he hadn't expected the baby to come so soon. Was everything alright? Panicking, he almost dropped the plate he was holding. He'd finished cooking so he had too omelets; he didn't feel hungry any more. But he knew Keely had to eat, and that they had a while on their hands. He sat it down in front of her. "Just eat this, please? You're going to need it." he said with a nervous quiver to his voice. He didn't know what to do.. AND HE DIDN'T HAVE A CAR! What sort of idiot, with a pregnant girlfriend, didn't invest in a car? Slapping his palm against his forehead, he left a small red mark. I'm so stupid! he fumed in his thoughts.
Then he remembered; Keely drove here. She had a car; she was a smart thinker. Racking through his brain, he remembered that she would need stuff at the hospital... Like, clothes and toiletries. She'd stayed over a couple of times, and he reckoned he had enough of that stuff here to suit her until he could go to her place for more.
