Tess admired the large bay thoroughbred as he thundered past the post at incredible speed. She smiled warmly as she watched him be put through his paces. He seemed a talented horse, very strong and likely to win any race - in Tess's mind. She waited until the trackrider pulled the leggy brown animal to a halt and strutted to the fence. "Hey I'm Tess!" she said. "You have quite a horse there." The jockey didn't smile, or seem friendly at all; he did reply however. He informed Tess the horse was young and needed discipline. "No way?" muttered Tess. That horse was perfect! "I don't believe I agree with you. That horse is fine." she informed him. The jockey grunted and told Tess that if she could ride it, she'd know.

Keely had decided to visit Aura Valley's racetrack that day, seeing as though she hadn't been there yet she had though she would come and check it out. Wandering towards the track itself, she spotted the familiar figure of her sister talking to a jockey riding what seemed to be a fairly green, yet speedy Thoroughbred. She approached in her now-normal pregnant waddle, catching the last part of their conversation once she reached them. "Hey sis," she greeted her lightly, stopping next to her, one hand resting lightly on the fence, nodding a quick greeting to the jockey.

"Hey Keels!" exclaimed Tess. "Hows the baby?" Tess knew well that Keely was due any time now. It was bound to be hurting. The jockey seemingly stared at Keels but Tess broke the glare by stepping forward. "I could ride it." She remarked, winking at Keely. "Couldn't I Keels?"

"Baby's fine," Keely replied, smiling at Tess. Keely stared pointedly back at the jockey, eyebrows raised slightly, though there was an amused twinkle in her eyes. "Well, yeah, you could, would be easier than helping to break the horses mum got us to help with," Keely replied

Tess smirked with pride. "Even, I could make that thoroughbred run faster than you ever have." Tess turned and gazed at the horse, which was well above 16hh. The jockey continued to glare at Keely now. "Hello?" exclaimed Tess. "Why don't you let me ride him and prove to you."

"Didn't your mother ever tell you it was rude to stare?" Keely grumbled, annoyed now. He was one of the only people to have reacted like that when she had started to show her pregnancy, and being pregnant did tend to make her irratible quickly. "And you're being spoken to," she continued, gesturing towards Tess then crossing her arms, brow furrowed.

The jockey turned back to Tess. "You could never ride this horse. A racehorse is a lot different than your average pony; they pull, they strain. You could never hold that." Tess frowned, "I break in hanoverians. They are some of the strongest horses around. Being warmbloods, they are half a heavy breed and half what is normally thoroughbred. I have had some horses pull and strain. I have always managed to hold them back, but all of my horses are very well trained. They don't need to pull and strain." The jockey now appeared unsettled. "Keely could ride that racehorse too. If she were not pregnant. In fact, my sister is better than me in the time we broke horses." Tess commented.
