Well, she felt no heat or swelling in his leg, and it didn't seem to bother him, so she figured he was fine. Straightening, she scratched under his mane and patted his nose. "Good boy, Deductive. What say we try out a few jumps free-longeing." Double checking that all of the gates to the arena were closed, she took off the lungeline and let him wander as he pleased as she retrieved eight standards and proceeded to set up two jumps, one on each side of the arena. One of the jumps was an oxer and the other was a small 'x'. The two extra standards she put next to the smaller of the two obstacles, figuring she could use them to make combination with that jump if he was doing well.

Deductive stood patiently for a few seconds before he started pawing the ground, as Lily moved away, He followed. Deductive continued to follow her around the arena as she set up the jumps, He took the time to sniff all the jumps as he walked around, With a snort Deductive started trotting around, avoiding the jumps At the moment.

Lily chuckled as Deductive followed her around the arena. What a sweetheart. His curiosity was so precious and funny, she just couldn't get enough of it. When she was happy with the jumps she'd set up, she picked up the lunge whip and retrieved a second from the corner of the arena. Walking to the center, she held her arms straight out with the whips in hand, a signal she'd used in the past to tell the horse to come toward her. She hoped it would work for him, as well.

Deductive nickered at lily as he trotted around, his lovable personality made him an easy horse to bond with, he'd grown up with no fear of Humans, his last owners made sure he wouldn't have any reason to fear them. With his ears pricked forward Deductive trotted over to Lily and stood in front of her, He bobbed his head playfully and waited, to see what exciting thing would happen next.

"Good boy. Okay, let's see how you do at some free-longeing over jumps." Lowering one whip, she clucked to him, hoping to send him into a nice easy trot toward the small 'x'. Once he was on his way, she angled the whip she had previously lowered forward from her body at a ninety degree angle. This was supposed to create the illusion of a longeline for the horse.

Deductive moved away and started trotting, it was a more bumpy trot as he looked at the jump snorted, He arched his neck and pricked his ears forward. Deductive tensed his muscles and just before the X he appeared like he was going to refuse the small jump, But instead he popped right over and continued trotting around snorting.

ooc: 'pooped' right over? lmao, that's funny
Well, he didn't seem like he was enjoying it, but she'd keep him going anyway. She pursed her lips and made a kissing sound, hoping he would pick up a canter for the next jump, which was a little bit bigger. He couldn't trot over this one, he'd need a little bit of speed. Still, it was only about two feet tall with foot and a half or so spread. Pretty small for what Lily was used to.

ooc- hehe typo i changed it so it now says popped..lol my bad.
Deductive eyed the next jump, he snorted loudly and pinned his ears back. showing obvious signs that he was going to refuse, Deductive stopped in front of the jump and reared, he turned on his hind legs and cantered in the other direction sending his hooves in every direction, kicking up dirt, as he reached the X, Deductive shied away then continued his tantrum.

ooc: lol, it was funny, especially when i'm a bit buzzed
Oh, great. He's freaking out. That's just what Lily wanted, a horse throwing a temper tantrum in an arena. At least it was an enclosed place. Raising her voice and snapping one of the whips to get his attention, she scolded him. "Hey, knock it off." She took a few steps toward him, hoping to get his attention back on her. What on earth was his problem? The jump was fairly small, and he definitely had the build and breeding for it.

Deductive stopped dead in his tracks as he heard the whip, he turned to face lily, with his ears still back Deductive stood bobbing his head franticly and pawing the ground. With a snort Deductive walked over to Lily and rubbed his head against her, he didn't like being scolded, Deductive stopped in front of Lily still with his ears back and looking like he was going to bolt at any time.
ooc- hehe some typo's can be amusing.

ooc: lol, too true...yet it seems that even alcohol can't keep me from correcting my mistakes...which are many tonight; and it seems like deductive has an interesting personality
"Oh now don't go sucking up to me, mister. I expect you to behave." Her voice was still stern, but she did lower the whips for a minutes to rub his nose and calm him down a bit. This time she'd get after him a bit more to go over that jump. She let him stand there for a couple of minutes, give him a minute to collect himself before she pushed him away lightly and raised the whips again. With just a light flick of one and a kiss, she signaled him to canter a small circle in the end of the arena. After two circles, she stepped toward the middle of the arena and gave the whip another flick, signaling him to canter toward the jump again. Hopefully, it would turn out a little better this time.

Deductive pricked his ears forward after a few minutes, his muscles twitched as she asked him to go around again, but he started to canter around in the circle pinning his ears back as he passed the jump, then pricking them forward after he'd passed.
Deductive pinned his ears back as soon as he realized Lily was facing him at the jump again, he threw his head up and jumped over it, with plenty of room to spare then snorted angrily and continued cantering.

"Good boy, Deductive. That's a boy, alright!" Lily made sure she praised him greatly for not refusing the jump. She wanted him to do it just one more time before giving him a break. Lily wondered if he'd been trained over fences yet or not. It was quite possible by his reaction that he hadn't, even in free-longeing. If that was true, she'd just have to work with him a little, but he did definitely have talent. He'd make a great jumper if someone would just have a little patience and help him learn.

"That's a good boy. There ya go." She aimed him at the jump again, not bothering to flick the whip. He seemed to be in a better mood now. Maybe he'd have a bit better form over the jump, but he did clear it with room to spare last time.
ooc: my muse is gone too, lol
